Henrik ”Hairy Lee” Nilsson

Born and raised in Västervik, I began to take an early interest in music, mainly classical, and in wresting my father’s old accordion. In my teens, hard rock really came into my. Guitar, bass and vocals were then as now on the agenda. I have no formal music education but am self-taught in many ways. Through sharp curious ears and capable playmates, you can get far.

I did not really get in touch with the progressive scene until 2010 and then with the album ”Power Windows” with Rush. After three listens in a row, I was stuck and it didn’t take long before I burned the entire catalog. Otherwise, I’m consumedly fond of 70’s prog like Genesis, Yes, Kaipa, Kansas, Jethro tull etc. Even ”new-old” in terms of Dream Theater, Sympony X, Marillion, Arena lays really close to my heart! Although ”Jazz in Swedish” is sometimes the best record in the world!

Having the opportunity to play Rush songs as a trio, as it should be, is a favor for a nerd like me. Really looking forward to playing for a bunch of sheer ears!
